Scuba diving and snorkeling are by far the most popular activities for visitors to Bonaire, but there are other possibilities. I enjoyed visiting the Donkey Sanctuary, where they have hundreds of donkeys, including adorable babies, which you can feed and pet. Land sailing is a new activity which is growing in popularity. I wanted to try it but didn’t have enough time. You can ride what basically amounts to an unmotorized go-cart with a sail, propelled by the trade winds.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay, I recommend Happy Holiday Homes. I know the name sounds a little silly, but it’s a very pleasant little complex of apartments. Each one has a full kitchen, living room, one or two bedrooms, and a small room with a row of hooks to hang your diving gear, swimsuits, towels, etc. The price is around $ 60 to $ 65 a night for a one-bedroom unit, a little more for two bedrooms.

Thanks for that ‘Highly Favoured’, I have also been contemplating starting my own business running an after-school care service, a place where children with working parents can be looked after with activities and help with homework can be given. I have noticed on my many trips to Barbados that many children are left alone at home until parents return from work. Would this be a good idea?

Yeah it would be a great idea. But you’d have to find a large enough building and staff/volunteers to help with homework and activities. You’d also need to think about the location as people would not want their children to go somewhere to far from school/home. So you’d have to find an area with lots of primary school children.

Yes, they can. US Virgin Islands is a “US Territory”, and while some US laws might not apply, extradition usually does.

I’m planning on taking a 3 night camping trip on April 6th at Kirk Creek campgrounds in Big Sur but all the reservable campsites are reserved. What are the chances I’d be able to find a walk-in campsite?? HMM??
